Fall 2021 Resale Pop-up

RESALE POP-UP HOSTED BY CLOVER OCTOBER 7TH AND 8TH

DROP OFF TIMES EARLIER (SEE BELOW)

ANY AND ALL STUDENTS CAN SELL AND BUY CLOTHING

On average, Americans throw away 81lbs of clothing per person each year. We are progressively buying more clothing, but keeping that clothing for significantly less time.¹ One of our goals at Clover is to bring awareness to these issues and use our campus as an opportunity to collectively reduce our impact on the environment and support each other in the endeavor to buy less and love more. This pop-up is a way to do just that and give any student a chance to profit from taking part. With the current pandemic forcing us to reconsider our values and donation services abruptly overrun with garments, this event only feels long overdue. Let us do all the heavy lifting of selling your clothes to someone who loves them, and hopefully you will find something you yourself will cherish. If you have clothes you have been planning on discarding, are hoping to simplify your closet, or are looking to find new gems, this event is for you. If you are looking to shop, items will be carefully and fairly sorted and priced. If you are looking to sell, you will get 100% of the price of a sold item. We simply want to encourage a smarter, gentler way of shedding and buying in our community. Here is how to participate:

  1. Bring us items you would like to sell during any of the drop off times listed below. Items may include any clothing that is NOT sleep or athletic wear (i.e. undergarments, leggings, etc.), and we will accept up to 15 items per individual. You may include jewelry, but no earrings please. All items must be in GOOD CONDITION - free of stains, major tears, broken zippers. etc. Items needing minor alterations will be accepted. All garments must be freshly laundered. Drop off is 82 Weybridge Street.

    Drop off time 1 : Friday, Sept 24th, 2pm-5pm

    Drop off time 2 : Saturday Sept 25th 3pm-6pm

    Drop off time 3 : Tuesday Sept 28th 7pm-9pm

    Drop off time 4 : Wednesday Sept 29th 10am-12pm

  2. We will price and tag the items prior to the pop-up. Our team has extensive knowledge and experience pricing, from working at consignment businesses and learning from professionals to being veteran posh-mark sellers. Each price will be decided on with careful attention and research. Should you have any concerns about this, feel free to reach out.

  3. Due to the volume of items, we cannot let you know what each item will sell for ahead of time. You will specify in a form upon drop-off if you are not okay with us pricing as we see fit, and you are permitted to request a selling cost for a limited number of items. Should you not be okay with us pricing the majority ourselves, we will likely be unable to sell for you. You will also specify in your form if you are not okay with us lowering the price throughout the course of the pop-up to increase the likelihood it sells.

  4. We will host the pop-up, open to ALL students, regardless of whether they are selling items. Payment can be made via venmo or cash. COVID safety protocols will be in place, including required masks and limiting the number of students allowed inside the pop-up at a time. Coffee and pastries will be available to anyone waiting outside. Pop-up hours will be Thursday October 7th 6pm-9pm and Friday October 8th 2pm-5pm at 82 Weybridge St.

  5. Owners will be paid the FULL price of what the item sold for, via venmo or cash.

  6. Based on the seller’s decisions on the drop-off form, items that do not sell will either be returned to the seller at designated pick-up times, donated at our discretion, or upcycled by a member of the team.

Please reach out via email or DM with any questions. Thank you for being a part of the ongoing effort to make fashion more sustainable!
